  • Tom Barnard Morning Show: Hour 3 – Sore throats and hurt feelings

Your browser does not support the audio element.

There’s still time to sign up for Eagles Farewell Tour contest to see the Eagles at the XCEL Energy Center in a suite with Tom, register online through the show’s app on your phone! Winners will be announced through Tuesday, November 14th!

In the first hour, SKOR North’s Phil Mackey explains the NBA In-Season Tournament to Tom and talks about the positive weekends for the Vikings and Timberwolves, and KSTP’s Chris Egert on his co-anchor’s absence and how high tech cars are scaled back to be less tech heavy.

Hour #2 has Bob Sansevere on the Gopher’s brutal loss to Purdue and the Vikings’ win over the Saints, plus actor and producer Thomas Ian Nicholas joins the show to discuss how latest work “Underdeveloped” which premiered in early September and is available to stream right now on Amazon Prime Video, Freevee, and Tubi.

In hour #3 we discuss whether or not having black paint on your face qualifies as “blackface”. If so, a lot of athletes are in some real trouble. Kristyn Burtt discusses an equally important controversy: are throat lozenges just a bunch of crap?

On the Family, we remain cautiously hopeful about the Vikings and their .600 performance. We all know they have zero shot at the Super Bowl, but they’re still doing better than the Falcons, so you take what you can get.

Stream the show LIVE on the Tom Barnard Show app M-F from 8-12PM or get the show on-demand on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts!

There’s still time to sign up for Eagles Farewell Tour contest to see the Eagles at the XCEL Energy Center in a suite with Tom, register online through the show’s app on your phone! Winners will be announced through next Tuesday, November 14th!

In the first hour, SKOR North’s Phil Mackey talks about Josh Dobbs’ arrival to the Vikings and how both he and coach Kevin O’Connell have both been in this sort of situation before and how because of that they can succeed, and KSTP’s Chris Egert learns about the beef between Garth Brooks and Tom Segura and shares about how certain car owners are being inconvenienced just to not have their car stolen.

Hour #2 has Bob Sansevere previews the Vikings matchup against the Saints and talks about Vinni Lettieri’s first goal as a member of the Wild, and Women of Wrestling Superhero Coach Campanelli joins the show to talk about Women of Wrestling’s new season which airs Saturdays on the CW in the Twin Cities area but is also available to stream for free on YouTube, Prime Video, and Pluto TV.

In hour #3 Tim Lammers marvels at The Marvels. In particular, he marvels at how bad it was. Kristyn Burtt, along with the rest of Hollywood, is still recovering from the strike.

On the Family, Josh Arnold may be Mr. Money Talks, but he’s also Mr. AI Talks. And it talks to you pretty much everywhere these days. Your OS has an AI, your browser has an AI, and your phone has an AI. Basically, it’s a great time to be involved in a company that leverages AI for infinity investor dollars. Whether this trend continues remains to be seen.

  • Tom Barnard Morning Show: Hour 3 – Records and strikes are broken, but is either a good thing?

Your browser does not support the audio element.

There is still a little bit of time left to enter to join Tom in his suite at the XCEL Energy Center to see The Eagles on their farewell tour, register online or through the Tom Barnard Show app and then listen for your chance to win!

In the first hour, SKOR North’s Judd Zulgad talks about the Twins cutting their payroll and how Diamond Sports Group’s bankruptcy is causing that, and KSTP’s Chris Egert on highlights from the latest republican debate that happened last night.

Hour #2 has NBA Hall of Famer Spencer Haywood join the show to talk about the up and coming Timberwolves team and break down what led to the 1971 Supreme Court case, now called the Spencer Haywood Rule.

In Hour #3 Kristyn Burtt and Tom make a fuss about a big baby. Normally that would be some sort of double entendre or pun, but in this case it’s actually real. Then we cover some more minor news, like the fact that the strike is functionally over.

On the Family, it’s a battle of the past versus the present to determine whose life sucks worse. Spoiler alert: the past wins by a sizeable margin. The future, however, is uncertain. Will we see a new champion, or will the light of hope remain unextinguished? You could also take the safe route and sneak into Iceland. No mosquitos there either.

  • Tom Barnard Morning Show: Hour 3 – Who’s more handsome, your husband or Sweet Home’s Hennings?

Your browser does not support the audio element.

Tom is back in-studio following a top class birthday meal at Campiello’s and is back to reality having to deal with Brittany’s antics.

In the first hour, SKOR North’s Judd Zulgad talks about the latest news regarding the Twins and their broadcast deal with Bally Sports and how the new changes could impact the club’s payroll in 2024, and KSTP’s Chris Egert on incoming election results, how ranked choice voting has created some cloudy immediate results, and the outcomes of the school board voting.

Hour #2 has Emmy award-winner Sherri Shepherd join the show to talk about her show “Sherri” which airs locally on FOX weekdays at noon!

In Hour #3 we try to record our podcast under the call letters KTOMMY, but unfortunately they’re already taken. So instead Kristyn Burtt discusses the difference between handsome and sexy. Apparently it has something to do with how faithful you are to your spouse.

On the Family, we teach you ways to spend your money wisely and ways to spend it not so wisely. For example, a nice night out with your family. It’s a lasting memory, a good meal, and you win every time. An example of a bad investment would be a company that leases working space for gig workers. We may be talking about one such company in particular.
